“Messenger-Instagram” CrossApp Communication

Facebook and Instagram are undoubtedly two of the world’s most popular social networking sites. As of 2020, there are over 2.7 billion active facebook users and over 1 billion active Instagram users. A new speciality may be adding up for all the users across both platforms.

Facebook has recently announced that it will be coming up with a new functionality that will allow Facebook messenger and Instagram users to communicate across apps.

It says, the new features will work even if the Instagram users don’t have a seperate Facebook account and vice versa.

Facebook also plans to add Whatsapp into this experience, all of which is owned by Facebook. It cleared that the users can opt out of being reachable across platforms using new privacy controls in the app.

Facebook says new features will begin rolling out to public, initially in few countries around the world before expanding globally.
